Mesures against COVID-19

LAST NEWS ABOUT SECURITY MEASURES IN CATALONIA

In recent weeks, measures and restrictions have been modified to gradually return to normality. Since 10/22/2021, new, less restrictive measures have been introduced, while some preventive measures are still in place.

In recent weeks, some restrictions have been lifted, leading to the liberalisation of certain sectors in terms of measures to regulate activities. Nevertheless, hygiene and preventive measures for individual and collective protection, such as the use of facemasks or hydroalcoholic gel, are maintained.

Capacity limitations have been eliminated in all sports facilities, both in open and closed spaces, which can be filled to 100% capacity, subject to special preventive measures in those facilities that can hold more than 10,000 people.

Capacity limitations are maintained in the nightlife sector, especially for indoor activities. They are also maintained for concerts, music festivals of all genres and other cultural events that take place with a standing audience and the possibility of dancing, in cultural facilities or other specially equipped enclosed spaces. In these activities the permitted capacity increases from 70 to 80%.

In all these nightlife activities, health protection measures are maintained. In order to gain access, a Covid-EU certificate must be presented that can prove that the person has a negative Covid-19 PCR or antigen test with a certain validity or has recovered from the disease within the last six months.

If these circumstances are proven, access to nightlife activities is permitted, and respond to the common goal of reducing the risk of an infected person coming into contact with uninfected and unprotected others and transmitting the infection to them.

The appropriateness and necessity of the measure in terms of the objective of protecting health and life is justified by the effectiveness of vaccination as a preventive measure, as evidenced by scientific studies on the reduction of infections, hospitalisations, and deaths. These measures are reviewable and subject to the evolution of the epidemiological situation.
